The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding activities that encompass early-stage discovery, horizon exploration, research programs, and impact clusters. This senior leadership role involves shaping and stewarding a dynamic portfolio that aligns with the company's mission of driving transformative knowledge and global impact. The Head of Fundamental Research will oversee research programs and impact clusters, integrating foresight and discovery pipeline initiatives to support the company's long-term strategy. Collaboration with internal and external partners is essential to ensure the portfolio remains innovative, rigorous, and globally relevant. Applicants for the Head of Fundamental Research position at the company should hold a Ph.D. in a relevant field and have a proven track record of research contribution. The role requires a deep understanding of research principles, program design, and best practices in research management, as well as experience in a research-focused organization with a background in managing a team of highly engaged researchers.
