You'll work across a variety of commercial and institutional facilities, troubleshooting plumbing and hydronic systems, performing preventative maintenance, and responding to service calls with professionalism and urgency. Compensation & Hours:
• The rate of pay will be $40-43/hr
• Monday through Friday, daytime hours
Position Summary:
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing, mechanical, and hydronic heating systems
• Perform preventative maintenance on boilers, pumps, valves, fixtures, and related mechanical equipment
• Locate and repair plumbing leaks, system failures, and water distribution issues in commercial and multi-storey buildings
• Diagnose and repair boilers, pumps, thermostats, zone valves, and hydronic heating systems
• Respond to emergency service calls and participate in a rotating on-call schedule
• Communicate professionally with customers, providing clear updates and practical solutions
• Estimate materials required for repairs and coordinate purchasing in accordance with company procedures
• Complete service reports, work orders, and documentation accurately and on time
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to all company and OH&S standards
• Represent the company with professionalism, integrity, and a customer-first attitude on every service call
Required Qualifications:
• Journeyman Plumber Certificate required
• Proven experience servicing commercial plumbing and mechanical systems
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities with plumbing, boilers, pumps, hydronic heating systems, and related mechanical equipment
• Ability to confidently work independently, prioritize service calls, and manage multiple tasks throughout the day
• Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues in a professional manner
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical manuals
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License, clean driving abstract, and the ability to travel to customer sites and participate in an on-call rotation
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., working in confined spaces, and performing the physical demands of the role
