ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking an experienced tradesperson to work within a commercial cleaning contract in Acton, ACT. You will liaise with building occupants and contractors, ensuring the effective coordination and delivery of day-to-day maintenance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign contractors and inspect general maintenance, repairs and minor refurbishment works across accommodation rooms, common areas and facilities
• Assign contractors and inspect basic carpentry, painting, plumbing and handy man tasks
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance activities
• Assist with furniture assembly, room setup and facilities preparation for events and conferences
• Maintain grounds, outdoor areas and building presentation standards
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and operational issues
• Liaise with contractors and service providers where required
• Ensure all work is undertaken safely and in accordance with WHS requirements

About You

• Previous experience in building maintenance, facilities management or a handy man role
• Sound practical skills across a range of general maintenance disciplines
• Demonstrated understanding of risk management principles, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and control measures
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high presentation standards
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage competing priorities
• Friendly, professional and service-oriented approach
