  • Monitor supplier performance through key performance indicators (KPIs), including delivery, quality, responsiveness, and cost competitiveness, implementing corrective actions where required.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers while identifying opportunities to consolidate vendors and improve overall supply chain performance.
  • Support local procurement strategies by fostering relationships with regional businesses and promoting Indigenous procurement opportunities in alignment with the Company’s commitments and community engagement objectives.
  • Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Warehouse, Engineering, Exploration, Finance, and Project teams to forecast procurement requirements and ensure uninterrupted supply of materials.
  • Review inventory levels, usage trends, and reorder parameters with warehouse personnel to optimize inventory investment while maintaining operational readiness.
  • Resolve complex purchasing, receiving, freight, and invoice discrepancies with suppliers and Accounts Payable.
  • Administer supplier contracts, including renewals, amendments, compliance monitoring, insurance documentation, and performance reviews.
  • Analyze procurement data and spend trends to identify cost‑saving opportunities, supply risks, and process improvements.
  • Develop procurement reports and dashboards, tracking purchasing metrics, cost savings, supplier performance, inventory trends, and departmental KPIs.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, ethical sourcing practices, and applicable commercial agreements.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to Buyers and other procurement team members, sharing best practices and supporting professional development.
  • Assist the Manager, Materials Management with procurement planning, budgeting, forecasting, supplier evaluations, and departmental continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Act as the procurement lead in the absence of the Manager, Materials Management, providing guidance to the procurement team and supporting operational priorities.
