Role: Shipper / Receiver
Location: Burnaby, BC
Pay Rate: $22/hr
Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM


Requirements:
Must be eligible to work in Canada
Must be punctual, dependable, and able to commit to full-time hours
1-2 years experience in a Shipper/Receiver role

Responsibilities
• Safely operate a sit-down counterbalance forklift to move, stack, load, and unload heavy palletized building supplies.
• Organize, stage, and process all incoming and outgoing shipments accurately according to bill of lading documents and order manifests.
• Perform manual heavy lifting and material handling of bagged cement, grout, tile supplies, and structural building products.
• Conduct thorough inventory checks, cycle counts, and stock verification to ensure warehouse accuracy.
• Inspect incoming shipments for damage, quantity discrepancies, or quality issues, logging details into the system.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and hazard-free work space in a fast-paced, dusty industrial warehouse environment.
• Follow all occupational health and safety guidelines, wearing required PPE including steel-toe safety boots and respiratory protection.
• Collaborate with freight carriers, truck drivers, and internal logistics coordinators to ensure timely shipment dispatch.

Qualifications
• Certified and proficient in operating sit-down counterbalance forklifts with proven hands-on experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity for safe material handling of heavy construction supplies.
• Excellent attention to detail for inventory tracking, document verification, and order processing.
• Solid communication skills to work effectively alongside warehouse peers, supervisors, and transport drivers.
• Time-management and organizational skills necessary to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Adaptability to work productively within dusty, physically demanding industrial conditions.

Summary
• 1–2 years of hands-on shipping/receiving experience in an industrial or dusty warehouse setting.
• Valid sit-down counterbalance forklift certification (a practical hands-on forklift evaluation will be conducted prior to start date).
• Must be clean-shaven (no facial hair) to comply with mandatory respiratory protection mask sealing requirements.
• Must possess and wear own CSA-approved steel-toe safety boots.
• Physical capability to perform repetitive heavy manual lifting in a fast-paced, dusty building materials environment.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada full-time.
