We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow CMDB / ITOM Technical Lead to drive a high-priority Cloud-Ready Configuration Management Database (CMDB) Initiative. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end strategy, design, technical configuration, and integration of enterprise Azure cloud infrastructure into the ServiceNow platform.
You will serve as both the technical architect and hands-on lead practitioner—designing robust CI class hierarchies, configuring Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE) rules, deploying Service Graph Connectors, and establishing governance standards to ensure a highly accurate, maintainable CMDB.

Responsibilities- Lead the architecture, delivery planning, risk management, and execution of the Cloud-Ready CMDB solution from initial design through testing, go-live, and transition to operations.
- Review and extend existing CMDB data models, defining Configuration Item (CI) class structures, inheritance, and attributes in alignment with CSDM standards to accurately represent Azure cloud resources.
- Design and document the Azure-to-CMDB mapping strategy. Configure and validate the Azure Service Graph Connector, including API access, authentication, authorization, parameters, and relationship mapping (subscriptions, resource groups, storage, VMs, network interfaces, load balancers, etc.).
- Configure and optimize the Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE), including authoritative source definitions, precedence rules, identification criteria, and conflict resolution logic.
- Build and maintain import schedules, transform maps, data normalization, field mappings, and automated error-handling routines. Conduct data health assessments to remediate missing attributes, anomalies, and duplicates.
- Implement health monitoring for data ingestion pipelines, scheduled imports, transform executions, MID Server connectivity, and reconciliation processing.
- Update Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) processes, runbooks, governance controls, and operational documentation to account for automated cloud ingestion.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
- Facilitate technical workshops with Cloud, Security, Operations, and Infrastructure teams to translate business requirements into platform deliverables. Conduct structured knowledge transfer and training for internal operations teams.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Recent years of hands-on experience designing, configuring, and supporting ServiceNow solutions in complex enterprise environments.
- Core CMDB / ITOM Expertise recent years of dedicated, hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB, ITOM, CSDM, IRE, and Service Graph Connectors.
- Proven experience integrating Azure cloud resources with ServiceNow CMDB, including discovery patterns, ingestion mechanisms, and complex CI relationship mapping.
- Strong expertise with Integration Hub, MID Servers, REST/SOAP APIs, Import Sets, Transform Maps, and custom scripting within ServiceNow.
- In-depth knowledge of ITIL-based Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM), CMDB governance, and data quality frameworks.
- Demonstrated track record leading complex ServiceNow implementations across the full delivery lifecycle (design, build, test, deploy, operationalize). Strong ability to produce operational runbooks, architecture diagrams, and technical documentation.
- A ServiceNow certification is a great asset (CIS-CMDB, CSA, CIC-Discovery to name a few).
