About This Opportunity

We are recruiting for a Senior Manager, Software Development (internal title: Manager, Engineering) to join our IT team, reporting to the Director, Intelligent Data and Enterprise Automation.

The Senior Manager, Software Development will lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers, with a primary focus on Power Platform and Power BI development, as well as full-stack and data engineering. This role is responsible for designing, building, and operating enterprise solutions across the Microsoft and Azure technology stack.

In this role, you will set technical direction, ensure solution quality and reliability, establish engineering best practices, and support scalable delivery through structured agile methodologies. You will balance hands‑on technical expertise with people leadership by developing engineers and partnering closely with product, business analysis, and stakeholder teams to deliver well-architected, maintainable solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day activities of the engineering team, including work assignment, technical guidance, obstacle removal, and performance management.
  • Own the technical quality of delivered solutions, including architecture, code quality, security, scalability, and maintainability, with a primary focus on Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) and Power BI, as well as full-stack and data engineering workloads.
  • Establish and enforce modern engineering practices using Azure DevOps, including source control, branching strategies, code reviews, and agile work management.
  • Drive sprint planning and agile delivery by managing scope, backlogs, team velocity, and release quality.
  • Partner with developers, business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and delivery plans.
  • Champion the reduction of technical debt and continuous improvement of code, data architecture, and platform foundations.
  • Oversee testing, validation, deployment, user acceptance testing (UAT), defect resolution, environment management, and change control.
  • Monitor and communicate engineering progress, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs to leadership.
  • Mentor and develop engineering talent, creating growth opportunities and fostering a collaborative engineering culture.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and development practices to advance team capabilities and organizational data and automation strategies.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands‑on software engineering experience with strong technical expertise in Power Platform and/or Power BI development.
  • 3+ years of experience leading or managing engineering teams.
  • Deep hands‑on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
  • Strong experience with Azure DevOps, including Azure Boards, agile planning, work intake, tracking, and source control through Azure Repos.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including architecture, design patterns, source control, branching strategies, automated testing, code reviews, and secure development practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to influence both technical and business audiences.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.

Why work with us?

  • Join a local, family-owned business that’s part of a globally recognized brand, where you can develop your capabilities, competencies, and career.
  • Coke Canada has a culture of learning, and we offer several channels to support your development, including on-the-job training and a library of free courses for just‑in‑time learning.
  • We are committed to offering a comprehensive benefits package designed to help our employees achieve their best physical, mental, financial, and overall health and well‑being. This includes a competitive compensation package, access to retirement and saving programs, family and employee assistance program, paid vacation and floater days.
  • We have close, local connections with the communities in which we operate across Canada. We’re determined to make a positive difference in our communities; this includes opportunities for employee volunteerism.
  • We’re building our business responsibly and our mission is to work Toward a Better Future Together. We have a plan that outlines how we are reducing, reusing, recycling, decreasing our carbon footprint, and using water responsibly. For more information visit cokecanada.com/sustainability/
