Job description

Managing group benefits can be complex and stressful, especially during important life events. In this role, you will contribute to building and maintaining a mobile application that simplifies these experiences—helping people make informed decisions about their health and well-being.
As a Mobile Software Engineer, iOS, you will design and deliver accessible, user-centered mobile solutions that improve how individuals and families interact with their benefits.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop intuitive, mobile-first iOS applications that are accessible and easy to use
  • Translate product requirements and user stories into clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
  • Ensure applications are secure, scalable, and performant
  • Integrate mobile applications with backend services, APIs, and external data sources
  • Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve issues to improve application performance and reliability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, and Quality Engineering to deliver customer-focused solutions
  • Participate in design discussions, pair programming, and code reviews to maintain high engineering standards
  • Continuously learn and apply new technologies to enhance the user experience

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience building iOS applications that integrate with remote services and APIs
  • 1+ years of experience developing user interfaces using SwiftUI
  • Solid understanding of iOS application architecture, performance optimization, and mobile security principles
  • 1+ years of experience using version control systems (e.g., Git; GitHub preferred)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices, with a commitment to building products that work for diverse users

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to consider the broader impact of technical decisions on customer experience
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a proactive approach to ownership and problem-solving
  • Curiosity and continuous improvement mindset, both in technical skills and product outcomes
  • Experience exploring or using emerging tools (e.g., AI-assisted development tools) is an asset

When you join our team:

  • We’ll empower you to learn and grow the career you want.
  • We’ll recognize and support you in a flexible environment where well-being and inclusion are more than just words.
  • As part of our distributed team, we’ll support you in shaping the future you want to see.

The role being advertised is an existing vacancy.
