We are a busy, professional family in Squamish looking for a reliable, experienced, and proactive household manager / nanny to help keep our home running smoothly during the week. Schedule: Monday–Friday (open to 4 days/week) Approx. 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM (15-20 hours/week) --- About the Role This is a hybrid role with mostly household management and meal prep, with some childcare as needed. We are looking for someone who takes pride in both — not just “watching kids,” but actively contributing to a happy and organized home. Daily flow: - Arrive early afternoon to reset the house: - Tidy common areas - Unload/load dishwasher, clean up kitchen - Prep a simple, vegetarian healthy family dinner (ready to reheat/finish) - 2:45 PM: School pickup (must have own car and be a confident, safe driver) - Actively lead and engage our 5.5-year-old daughter after school (activities, crafts, outdoor play) - 4:30 PM: Pick up our 2-year-old son and return home - Settle both kids, support transition back to parents - Wrap up between 5:00–5:30 PM (we do not require evening care) --- Childcare Expectations - Warm, engaging, and genuinely enjoys spending time with children - proactively plan activities (crafts, outdoor play, creative engagement) - Confident managing two children with different needs and energy levels - Calm but firm with boundaries and safety and follow through consistently - Physically capable and attentive (able to keep up with active young kids) --- Household Responsibilities - Daily kitchen reset (dishes, counters, dishwasher, sweep) - Dinner preparation (simple, vegetarian meals) - Kids’ lunchboxes unpacked, cleaned, and refilled for next day - Light tidying/organization of common areas - Laundry occasionally - Proactive mindset (e.g., noticing when something needs attention and taking care of it) --- Ideal Candidate - must be currently living in BC - must have valid work permit, PR or citizen - Experienced nanny / household manager (not entry-level) - background in child development or education a plus - Reliable, punctual, and takes pride in their work - Proactive and detail-oriented — you don’t wait to be asked - Confident driver with a reliable vehicle - Looking for a stable, long-term position with a family - Comfortable balancing childcare household tasks seamlessly - CPR and first aid certificate - background check --- Compensation Competitive hourly rate based on experience (approx. $25–$32/hour) --- About Us We are a respectful, loving and hard-working household that values professionalism, consistency, and warmth.
