Location: West Edmonton area
Pay Rate (based on experience): Journeymen: $40.00 – $49.00/hr Apprentices: $32.00 – $36.00/hr
Schedule & Compensation
- Hours: Standard 10-hour day shifts, Monday to Friday (residential zone schedule). Occasional weekend shifts as needed.
- Overtime: Paid after 44 hours per week.
Start Date: August 10, 2026 (Project runs through mid-November with potential for ongoing project transitions)

About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking 6 motivated Ironworkers (Journeymen & 1st–3rd Year Apprentices) to join our team for the second stage of a major institutional building project on the West side of town.
Whether you are an experienced Journeyman lead or an apprentice looking to sharpen your skills on a fast-paced open-structure build, this site offers steady hours, great OT potential, and potential long-term work on upcoming projects.

Responsibilities
Assemble, erect, and secure structural steel components using tower cranes.

Perform connecting, rigging, bolting off, and structural welding.

Safe operation of scissor lifts, aerial man lifts, and full fall-arrest safety systems.

Work efficiently alongside sub-trades on multi-story open structures (up to 7 stories).

Safely lift and handle materials weighing 40 to 100 lbs.

Qualifications
Certification: Journeyman Ironworker Red Seal/Ticket or registered 1st, 2nd, or 3rd-Year Apprentice.

Bonus Qualification: Dual-ticketed Ironworker/Welder or CWB Structural Welder ticket is a huge plus.

Experience: Hands-on experience with rigging, connecting, and working at heights. Industrial/commercial site background (e.g., 306 Industrial experience) preferred.

Safety: Proficient in Fall Protection / Fall Arrest system protocols and elevated work platform operation.

Site Clearance: No A&D testing or Criminal Record Check required for this site.
