Cement Bulker Class 1 Driver

Experience with operating cement bulker, loading bulk cement powder, and safely delivering and unloading material at various jobsites. Driver must be confident around active construction sites and working in tight or challenging areas. The position is primarily a bulk cement (powder) driving role. During periods when powder hauling is not required, truck and pup hauling aggregate and asphalt will be needed.Job ResponsibilitiesOperate cement bulker truck safely - load, transport and unload product on jobsitesWhen not hauling cement, operate a truck & pup hauling gravel / asphaltComplete daily trip inspections, logbooks and required paperwork using company paper and electronic systemsEnsure loads are secure and within legal weight limitsFollow all company safety policies, transportation regulations and site requirementsCommunicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors and crew membersReport equipment issues, incidents and near misses promptlyPerform basic equipment care and minor maintenance as neededQualificationsValid Class 1 Driver's License with current driver's abstractExperience operating cement bulker configurations considered an assetKnowledge of safe hauling practices and applicable regulationsStrong commitment to safety, reliability and teamworkAbility to work overtime, weekends, and out of town as required during the construction season (May - November)What We OfferCompetitive wages based on experienceBenefitsProfit sharingCompany Share Ownership ProgramOngoing training and developmentOpportunities for advancementSteady work during the construction seasonMany of our leaders started in field or entry level roles and we believe strongly in promoting from within.
