Job Title: Loader Operator - Nights
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Loader Operator to join our night shift team. This role involves working with load lists to locate, gather, and scan glass for truck loading. You will be responsible for organizing and securing loaded glass with appropriate packing materials and ensuring the accuracy of shipments by measuring glass and reading tags.
Responsibilities
- Locate and gather glass for truck loading based on load lists.
- Organize and secure loaded glass using appropriate packing materials.
- Load and secure glass onto trucks or frames manually or with a crane.
- Measure glass for accuracy and ensure correct tag reading.
- Reject incorrect or poor quality shipments.
- Engage in multi-tasking and cross-training within the department.
Essential Skills
- Experience in shipping and receiving.
- General labor skills, including heavy lifting (50lbs+ team lifts).
- Ability to read shipping documentation.
- Experience in loading trailers with glass.
- Skills in material handling, machine operation, and production work.
- Forklift operation and inventory management.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Forklift Certification (SDCB) is a plus.
- Pallet jack experience is desirable.
- Combi lift experience is advantageous.

Work Environment
You will work in a large glass manufacturing plant located in the southeast, primarily in the shipping area. The shift runs from 9:30 PM to 5:30 AM, Sunday night to Friday morning. Personal protective equipment, including steel-toed boots, is required, and additional PPE will be provided.
