Permanent Full-Time Manager, Liquor Inspections and Security Out-of-Scope MCP 07 Liquor Licensing and Inspections Branch, Regina Vacancy #12/F27 The Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA) is seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual to provide support as a Manager, Liquor Inspections and Security within the Liquor Licensing and Inspections Branch .

This position is required to work on-site, reporting to the Director, Liquor Licensing and Inspections.

The Manager, Liquor Inspections and Security is responsible for oversight regarding the implementation and management of compliance policies and programs in the liquor industry throughout the province.

This position creates, monitors, and updates programs based on changing federal, provincial, and municipal legislative requirements on behalf of the Director.

This position is responsible for managing Liquor Inspections in the province by providing direction and oversight to the Manager and teams of Inspectors within the Regina and Saskatoon offices.

This position is also responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operations and administrative requirements in the branch are effectively managed.

Primary Responsibilities Directs, manages and evaluates the delivery of inspection services within the Liquor Licensing and Inspections Service Branch to ensure compliance within the liquor industry throughout the province.

Directs and manages the Inspections team consisting of a manager, Liquor Inspectors and minors regarding the day-to-day operations in the Liquor Inspections Unit.

Assists the Director in preparing and monitoring the unit's financial budget.

Has oversight and provides direction on non-compliance issues within the province.

Evaluates and manages current security programs and initiatives in the protection of SLGA property and personnel, and makes changes as required.

Directs investigations and ensures policies and procedures comply with current court requirements, regulatory legislation, and SLGA policies.

Identifies legislative, policy or procedural gaps through review of inspections, investigations, complaints, consultation with staff, outside agencies and clients, and makes corrective changes as required.

Reports on monthly, quarterly and annual goals, targets, and performance of the Inspections Unit.

Creates and maintains strong working partnerships with vested stakeholders.

Required Technical Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications Strong knowledge of applicable federal, provincial, and municipal acts, regulations, legislation, statutes, bylaws, policies, and programs pertaining to liquor, such as The Alcohol and Gaming Regulation Act, 1997 , Alcohol Control Regulations, 2016, and the Criminal Code of Canada.

In-depth knowledge of inspection, enforcement, investigative, legal, and judicial processes, techniques, procedures, and documentation.

Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques.

Ability to lead and manage staff through setting goals, work objectives, and performance management.

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and build relationships with diverse individuals and teams is essential.

Ability to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks through sound judgment.

Demonstrated strong computer skills.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in a regulatory environment or equivalent.

Licensing Requirement This position requires Gaming Regulator Registration.

This position must also qualify as a Peace Officer under The Saskatchewan Police Act.

Travel Requirement This position requires frequent travel throughout the province.

Travel across Canada and internationally may also be required.

Working Conditions Core office hours are 8:00 a.m.

and 4:45 p.m.

Monday to Friday.

This role is primarily desk-based, with most of the work day dedicated to computer use, including keyboarding, data analysis, and system navigation.
