Upstaff Employment Services Inc. is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to operate the Ontario Northland Transportation Commission (ONTC) Bus Depot in Kenora, Ontario.
As the primary representative at the depot, you will assist passengers with ticket sales, travel information, parcel and baggage services, payment processing, and daily depot operations. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced public-facing environment.

Sell ONTC bus and train tickets using the computerized ticketing system.
Provide customers with route, fare, schedule, and travel information.
Receive, weigh, label, scan, store, and release parcels and baggage.
Prepare shipping documents and maintain accurate shipment records.
Process cash, debit, and credit card transactions accurately.
Perform daily cash balancing and reconciliation.
Answer customer inquiries by phone, email, and in person.
Resolve customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when required.
Maintain the security and chain of custody for parcels and baggage.
Open and close the depot according to operating procedures.
Conduct daily health and safety inspections.
Keep the customer waiting area, ticket counter, and parcel room clean and organized.
Assist with light snow removal around the entrance during winter months.
Follow all ONTC policies, safety procedures, and operational standards.
Minimum 1 year of customer service experience in retail, transportation, hospitality, logistics, or another customer-facing environment.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
Experience using Windows-based computer systems and Microsoft Office.
Ability to accurately process cash and electronic payments.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to safely lift and carry packages weighing up to 75 lbs (34 kg).
Reliable, punctual, and committed to providing excellent customer service.
Previous experience in transportation, bus terminals, railway stations, courier services, or logistics.
Cash reconciliation and point-of-sale (POS) system experience.
First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Experience working with diverse and Indigenous communities.
Knowledge of the Kenora and Northwestern Ontario region.
