Senior Financial Analyst (Insurance / Banking)

Our client in the insurance industry has an open role for a talented professional to join their team. This opportunity focuses on delivering insightful reporting forecasting and analysis while driving strategic planning and expense optimization. You will play a pivotal role in benchmarking studies and competitor analysis ensuring financial goals are met through collaboration with crossfunctional teams and leadership.

What is in it for you :

Salaried : $50 to $53 per hour.

Incorporated Business Rate : $59 to $62 per hour.

6month contract with the potential for permanent employment.

Fulltime position : 37.50 hours per week.

Work schedule from 9 am to 5 pm.

Responsibilities :

Lead and support monthly / quarterly reporting forecasting and analysis for strategic initiatives.

Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to review business cases and support cost / benefit analysis.

Assist with the transition from Waterfall to Agile methodologies developing metrics for effective tracking and reporting.

Negotiate contracts with an emphasis on cost management and expense optimization.

Conduct benchmarking studies and provide actionable recommendations for expense optimization.

Develop and maintain financial models to support project tracking and reporting.

Provide valueadded commentary on metrics in collaboration with internal project management and finance teams.

Present risks and opportunities with competitor insights to leadership.

Support business and project initiatives as required.

What you will need to succeed :

Financial designation (CPA CFA).

5 years of experience in the insurance or financial services industry.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Superior analytical and critical thinking skills.

High level of initiative and ownership with the ability to deliver under tight timelines.

Strong relationship management and teamwork capabilities.

Exceptional attention to detail prioritization and organizational skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite SharePoint SAP Hyperion and Tableau.

Experience with financial planning reporting forecasting and deepdive analysis.

Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Financial modeling and benchmarking experience.

Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence outcomes.
