Data Solution Architect

What you'll do here:

• Be part of a high-profile team with a multitude of opportunities to deliver transformative data solutions to our business customers.
• Collaborate with members of various technical teams to develop solutions that address the needs of our key data customers.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to ensure adherence to EA principles and guidelines.
• Develop scalable and robust architectures that can support the growing volumes of our data environments.
• Deliver architectures that meet our enterprise security and data protection standards.
• Ensure the architecture is aligned with our corporate vision and objectives, while being able to propose innovative new approaches to problem solving.
• Participate in multiple projects/families to cover for parental leave, vacations etc.

Profile sought:

• Passionate about creating responsive and scalable data pipeline architectures.
• Able to thrive in a diverse team of Business Architects, Solution Architects, Data Architects and work with a delivery teams.
• Able to take a business problem and turn it into a technological solution.
• Able to communicate effectively to explain your solutions.
• Comfortable working in complex and constantly changing environments, with multidisciplinary teams.
• Being able to effectively challenge the Status quo and set standard and direction for the solutions
• A very good communicator who excels at explaining your ideas.
• Well organized, able to multi-task and manage priorities.
• At least 5-7 years' experience in a Solution Architecture role.
• Experience architecting data pipelines in the cloud.
• Experience working with AWS services, including S3, EC2, Lambda.
• Experience building data warehouses and data marts in the cloud.
• Experience migrating traditional on-prem EDW data integrations to the cloud.
• Experience working in Agile delivery.
• Bilingual (French & English) (asset) - Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.
• Experience with Data Bricks
• Experience with Informatica IICS and PowerBI (asset).
• Experience with Data Vault (asset).
• Experience in Snowflake.
• Experience with Power Designer.
• Certification in an Architecture Frameworks (TOGAF or similar) (asset).
• Experience with the CGI RCDA architecture approach (asset).
