What are your contributions to the team?
- Program aeronautical components with Catia V5 (5 axes) and validate G-code using Vericut
- Produce electronic visual aids for the manufacture of components (operator's manual)
- Establish and implement innovative ways of programming components to reduce programming times by implementing macros or automated routines
- Produce machining strategy estimates including programming and machining times
- Solve problems affecting the quality of components during machining
- Support the methods groups in solving problems involving the use of small pneumatic tools and cutting tools
- Design 3D models of cutting tools (manual, for numerical control machines and for drilling machines) for our suppliers
- Assess the need for new cutting tools and write technical specifications
- Support the methods groups in solving problems involving the use of small pneumatic tools and cutting tools
How to thrive in this role? Skills, knowledge & experience :
- You hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Aeronautical Engineering Technology, or any other relevant experience
- You have a minimum of five (5) years of NC programming experience using Catia V5, Vericut-Machine Sim
- You have relevant experience with cutting tools and have a strong interest in this field
- You have knowledge of manufacturing processes in the aeronautics industry (asset)
- You can read and interpret technical drawings
- You have knowledge of GT&T geometric tolerancing
- You are organized and able to work with tight deadlines
- You are creative and enjoy establishing new ways of working
- You have a good analytical mind and enjoy teamwork
- You are fluent in French and English
