- Work extensively with Databricks and Delta Lake, developing optimized 'gold' level SQL queries for Power BI models, and perform advanced transformations directly within the data warehouse where appropriate
- Identify, map, and implement data lineage and transformation strategies, determining the optimal stage for data manipulation (data warehouse vs. Power BI data model) to ensure data quality, performance, and scalability
- Lead the integration of data from ARAS (PLM), Oracle P6 (Scheduling), IFS (ERP/MRP), and future Oracle Cloud ERP, ensuring a unified and coherent data model for comprehensive reporting
- Develop sophisticated Power BI data models, leveraging advanced DAX expressions and Power Query (M language) to create robust measures, calculated columns, and tables that meet complex business requirements
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand complex requirements, translate them into impactful data visualizations, and iteratively refine reports to ensure maximum user adoption and actionable insights
- Validate data sources, complex transformations, and analytical outputs against business rules and reference data to guarantee the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of all derived reports
- Create comprehensive documentation for business requirements, data sources, infrastructure, complex data models, and reporting governance processes to provide clarity and context for all data consumers
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Business Intelligence, providing guidance, training, and knowledge transfer to team members and business users on advanced Power BI functionalities, data best practices, and data interpretation
- Optimize all stages of the data analysis process, from data extraction and advanced querying to data modeling and visualization, ensuring high performance and efficiency of all BI solutions
