About the Opportunity

Are you interested in a Critical Care Nursing career with Nova Scotia Health? We are currently accepting Critical Care Nursing Program (CCNP) applications and we would love to hear from you! This is an educational opportunity available to current Registered Nurses who have limited or no Critical Care experience and are interested in developing their skills.

This is a full-time program, running from September 3rd until December 1st,

Registered Nurses who successfully complete CCNP will be hired into existing vacancies in our Halifax and Dartmouth Intensive Care Units :

  • Victoria General 3A Med-Surg ICU
  • Halifax Infirmary 5.1 Cardiovascular CVICU
  • Halifax Infirmary 5.2 Med-Surg ICU
  • Halifax Infirmary 6.4 Coronary Care Unit
  • Dartmouth General ICU

    • Successful external applicants who are accepted into the CCNP and accept the above incentives will agree to complete the program and continue working with Nova Scotia Health for a minimum of three years as a Registered Nurse in the assigned unit(s) and will be required to sign a Return of Service Agreement.

    About You

  • Currently working as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum of one year acute care experience required
  • IMCU experience preferred

    Compensation and Incentives

    39.76 - $49.01 hourly

    50.73 hourly with 25 years of RN experience
