Manager / Senior Manager, Public Accounting | $120K–$150K+ | North York, ON | Hybrid
A well-established, partner-led CPA firm in North York is looking for a Manager or Senior Manager to join their leadership team during an exciting period of growth — with a clear, discussed path toward future partnership.
This firm serves privately held businesses, entrepreneurs, real estate organizations, foundations, and not-for-profit clients across the GTA. [X partners / X total staff] and known for a collaborative, hands-on culture where managers work directly with partners rather than getting lost in a large-firm hierarchy.
The Opportunity
You'll own a diverse portfolio of client engagements from planning through completion, working closely with partners on complex accounting and tax issues, and playing an active role in shaping where the firm goes next. This is a genuine build-your-own-book opportunity for someone who wants visibility, autonomy, and a real say in firm direction — not just a bigger title.
What You'll Do
- Manage a portfolio of privately held clients across a range of industries
- Oversee audit, review, and compilation engagements, including review of financial statements and working papers under ASPE
- Prepare and review corporate, personal, trust, and partnership tax returns
- Advise owner-managed businesses on accounting, tax, and complex technical issues
- Review and coach junior and intermediate staff, playing a hands-on role in their development
- Work directly with partners on tax planning, special projects, and advisory work
What You Bring
- CPA designation
- 5+ years of progressive public accounting experience (audit, review, compilation, and tax)
- Strong ASPE knowledge and experience managing files start to finish
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff
- Strong client relationship and communication skills
