THE ORGANIZATION:
Kamloops Aboriginal Friendship Society (KAFS) was established in 1972 and is a non-profit organization with a status free open-door policy. KAFS is dedicated to empowering the Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal communities of Kamloops and surrounding areas. KAFS provides culturally appropriate programs and inclusive services that meet the needs of urban Indigenous people to become healthier, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Human Resources Manager provides strategic and operational leadership in the delivery of human resource services across the organization. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role is responsible for supporting all aspects of HR including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, policy development, and organizational development.
This role collaborates closely with the Executive Director and leadership team to align HR practices with organizational goals and to promote a healthy, respectful, and inclusive workplace. The ideal candidate is a seasoned HR professional with strong judgement, discretion, and the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization, bringing both strategic insight and practical HR expertise to support a high-performing and engaged workforce.
