With over 20,000 successful applications to date, we are a trusted partner across the heavy industries. Summary

The Mitsubishi Automation Product Specialist is a dedicated, Mitsubishi-focused resource embedded within Arrow Speed Controls, with a mandate to enable and grow Mitsubishi automation sales across all Madison Industrial Group businesses. This role combines inside sales, technical application support, and commercial coordination to support the sales teams within the Madison portfolio companies. The Specialist will be responsible for product selection and configuration, solution quotations (including basic integrated automation solutions), training, after-sales product support, marketing coordination, and sales operations/reporting related to Mitsubishi automation products. This role is critical for enabling Mitsubishi automation sales across the Madison Industrial Group of companies, improving customer experience, providing technical expertise to match our customers' challenges to the right product and providing high-quality data and insight for joint business planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Enablement & Technical Support
  • Act as the primary Mitsubishi automation product expert for all Madison Industrial Group businesses, with a home base inside Arrow Speed Controls.
  • Support sales representatives across the Madison portfolio (Arrow Speed, Western Integrated, Stockdales, etc.) with technical guidance and commercial support for Mitsubishi automation opportunities.
  • Provide application-level support, including product selection and configuration to match Mitsubishi drives, PLCs, motion, HMI, and related products to the specific needs and standards of our customers.
  • Assist with technical clarifications, product substitutions, and value-engineering options to increase win rates and margin.
  • Quoting & Solution Configuration
  • Prepare and coordinate product and solution quotations for Mitsubishi automation products, including small integrated solutions (e.g., drive + PLC + HMI packages, standard panels, or basic integrated architectures).
  • Work with engineering, panel design, and operations teams (as required) to ensure quotations are technically sound, commercially competitive, and aligned with Arrow/Madison standards.
  • Manage quote follow-up in coordination with outside sales, helping to move opportunities from quote to order.
  • Training & After-Sales Product Support
  • Provide product training to Madison sales teams, inside sales staff, and, where appropriate, customers and channel partners on Mitsubishi automation products, tools, and standard architectures.
  • Develop and maintain basic training materials, cheat sheets, and reference guides to improve confidence and adoption of Mitsubishi across the group.
  • Provide after-sales product support for Mitsubishi automation products, including troubleshooting guidance, coordination with Mitsubishi technical support, and supporting warranty or quality-related inquiries.
  • Marketing, Campaigns & Demand Generation
  • Collaborate with Arrow Speed, Madison Industrial Group marketing teams, and Mitsubishi to plan and execute Mitsubishi-centric marketing campaigns (email campaigns, webinars, solution spotlights, etc.).
  • Help organize and support customer events, lunch-and-learns, roadshows, and tradeshows focused on Mitsubishi automation solutions across the Madison Industrial Group businesses.
  • Assist in developing case studies, application notes, and promotional materials that highlight successful Mitsubishi-based solutions delivered through Madison companies.
  • Inventory & Supply Coordination
  • Work collaboratively with Arrow Speed’s supply chain/operations team and Mitsubishi to ensure local inventory levels are appropriate to support regional demand and strategic growth targets.
  • Provide input on stocking strategies for key Mitsubishi SKUs, recommended spares, and standard solution kits.
  • Monitor product availability, lead times, and phase-in/phase-out notices, and communicate proactively to sales teams to avoid supply disruptions and missed opportunities.
  • Sales Operations, Reporting & Joint Business Planning
  • Play an active role in sales operations and KPI tracking for Mitsubishi automation across Madison businesses.
  • Analyze and report monthly distribution numbers, including bookings, billings, and key product segment trends for Mitsubishi.
  • Prepare and maintain point-of-sale (POS) reporting by business, territory, and customer segment as required by Mitsubishi and MIG leadership.
  • Support pipeline analysis, including opportunity tracking for Mitsubishi-linked deals, and prepare quarterly sales analysis and dashboards as they relate to Mitsubishi distribution.
  • Provide data and insight for joint business planning sessions with Mitsubishi, including growth initiatives, focus accounts, product priorities, and resource requirements.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered.
  • 3-7+ years of experience in industrial automation, drives, PLCs, motion, or control systems, ideally in an inside sales, application engineering, or technical support role.
  • Direct experience with Mitsubishi automation products (or similar tier-1 automation platforms) is a strong asset.
  • Strong aptitude for product selection, sizing, and basic solution architecture within industrial automation applications.
  • Experience supporting or enabling outside sales teams and/or channel partners (distributors, system integrators, OEMs).
  • Comfortable working with CRM/ERP systems and Excel (or equivalent) for sales analysis and reporting.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical communication skills, able to bridge technical detail and commercial value for sales teams and customers.
  • High attention to detail in quotations, configurations, and reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and priorities from different business units and stakeholders.
  • Collaborative mindset, comfortable working across multiple Madison business units, Arrow Speed teams, and Mitsubishi contacts.
  • Analytical skills for interpreting sales data, spotting trends, and preparing meaningful reports and recommendations.
  • Customer-focused, with a service-oriented approach and a strong sense of ownership.

What We Will Give To You

  • $100,000 - $120,000, dependent on experience and qualifications
  • Extended health and dental benefits
  • RRSP matching plan
  • Education and training funding opportunities
  • Social functions with team
  • Paid time off for personal wellness
  • Opportunities to move up with your career with Arrow
