  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and develop accounting policies while providing recommendations for financial improvements and process efficiencies.
  • Increase productivity by enhancing automated reporting tools, identifying process improvements, and supporting the implementation of advanced tools like robotic process automation.
  • Support technical accounting research, maintain compliance with accounting policies, collaborate with auditors, ensure covenant compliance, and provide financial guidance to align accounting with business decisions.

Qualifications

  • Experience in financial reporting and accounting, with strong knowledge of IFRS and public company reporting requirements. Proven experience preparing consolidated financial statements, management reporting, technical accounting research, and supporting external audits is essential.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills, with experience in preparing reports and communicating complex concepts effectively.
  • Advanced proficiency in Workiva for financial reporting, as well as MS Office, with ERP experience as an asset.
  • Skilled in preparing various written materials, including reports and accounting memos for management and public company reporting.
  • Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, or Business Administration, a CPA designation, and has at least 7 years of relevant experience.
