As a Copywriter, you'll be a brand-focused writer responsible for contributing to creative concepts and bringing Article's brand and product storytelling to life across campaigns, advertising, editorial, and more.

Why We Need You

As a partner to our Art Directors, Designers, and stakeholders across Article, you will help maintain and apply Article's Brand Voice guidelines, turning product details into compelling omni-channel storytelling that highlights the benefit to the customer. This role reports to the Manager of Copy & Design.

About the Copy team

You'll be joining a small, close-knit Copy team that partners daily with Design and Marketing. You'll be working from creative briefs to deliver everything from campaigns and advertising to editorial and beyond.

We are a hybrid team - you'll be in the office 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).

What You’ll Do

• Creative Ideation & Brainstorming: Be a key contributor in brainstorming, developing, and creating game-changing creative for Article, adhering to brand guidelines and channel best practices.
• Cross-Channel Consistency: Ensure copy and messaging remain consistent across all platforms, managing contributions to day-to-day creative assignments from concept through completion.
  • You enjoy working within established brand guidelines, translating briefs into clear, customer-focused copy that performs across digital channels.
• Storytelling & Product Communication: Turn product details into compelling omni-channel storytelling that highlights the benefit to the customer.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with peers across Marketing, Creative, and beyond to develop ideas and innovations related to how Article shows up in-market.
• Day to Day:
  • Support channel and project assignments from concept to completion, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Manage day-to-day creative assignments, ensuring copy is on-brief and on-time.
  • Collaborate with Art Directors and Designers to bring campaigns and product storytelling to life.
  • Question not only how the team can do better, but how it can do remarkably better, across all writing work.
• We use G Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Google Docs, Meet, etc) to work and Slack to collaborate and communicate, with your choice of Mac or PC device.

Who You Are

• 3-5 years of experience in Copywriting, content writing, or a similar marketing-focused role.
• Experience writing customer-facing copy for email, e-commerce, landing pages, or digital marketing campaigns.
• A portfolio that includes email and website copy and shows how you adapt messaging across different stages of the customer journey.
• Experience working from creative briefs and partnering with brief owners to clarify goals, audience needs, and required deliverables.
  Experience working within an established brand voice, style guide, and approval process.
• Comfortable managing recurring, high-volume assignments while keeping copy accurate, consistent, and on time.
• Experience writing for a consumer product, retail, or e-commerce brand is an asset.
• Legally able to work in Canada.
• Completion of criminal background check.
