The position
The Assortment Manageroverseesourexisting coreproductassortmenttodrive growththrough a strategic blend of market research analysis, data mining, and merchandising.Partnering closely with Marketing, Demand Planning,and Product Development, the Assortment Manageranalyzestheproductassortment performancetoidentifykey SKUs to grow year over yearand drive customer adoption.
This is a temporary, full-time position working Monday through Friday in either a hybrid capacity from our workshop in Canmore, Alberta, or fully remote (Alberta-based candidates preferred). The target start date for this role is May 2026.
What you’ll be doing
- Manage the 300+ skus, defining opportunities for growth and discontinuations
- Design and implement long term strategies for core assortment to drive long term growth
- Analyze product mix, cannibalization, and white space opportunities
- Responsible for delivering annual revenue and margin targets per product category
- Research and analyze market trends,competitorsand consumer behaviour
- Define our pricing strategy and product position in the market
- Partner with Planning and Production to define the merchandise targets, COGS,marginsand inventory
- Partnercloselywith Marketing on the promotional calendar
- Create a reporting framework to empower teams with information to drive the business forward on a weekly,quarterlyand yearly basis
- Compile and present regularly to the business summarizing the performance of the core assortment
Does this sound like you?
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution; MBA considered an asset
- 5+ years of experience in retail or CPG environment
- Strong assortment planning and product analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability for strategic thinking and planning
- Innovative problem-solver with the ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative information
- Proventrack recordof leadingacrossteams and workingwith cross-functional partners
- Passion for natural personal care and beauty products
- Strong knowledge of MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Experience with Power BI or Tableau would be considered an asset
- Strong communicationand data presentation skills
