The Mission of the Vice-President, Retail Strategy & Operations at Cozey

Reporting to Fred Aubé, Chief Executive Officer & Founder, your mission is to build the retail engine that takes Cozey from a handful of stores today to a large-scale, multi-market network across Canada, the U.S.,Australiaand beyond.You'llshape how customers experienceCozeyin the physical world, deciding where and how we grow, and building the team, systems, and economics that let every new store strengthen our brand and our business.

What You'll Be Doing

• Define our retail strategy byhelpingdecidewhere we grow, which markets, store formats, and footprints we invest in, and how each new location strengthens our brand and long-term financial performance.
• Build and inspire a world-class retail team by attracting and developing exceptional talent and fostering a customer-obsessed culture where people deliver memorable experiences every day.
• Lead retail expansion byidentifyingnew locations, negotiating leases, overseeing construction and store openings, and continuously improving the playbook that makes every launch better than the last.
• Lead retail operations by ensuring every store achieves its sales potential through effective workforce planning, coaching, merchandising, and operational discipline.
• Build the operating model for scalable retail growth by improving unit economics, technology, reporting, and the systems that enable the business to make smarter decisions and scale efficiently.
• Champion theCozeybrand through retail by ensuring every store brings it to life, strengthens brand awareness and positioning, and creates experiences that customerscan'tstop talking about.
• Partner across the business with Marketing, Digital, Product Development, Supply Chain, Customer Happiness, and Finance to ensure retail is fully integrated into Cozey's omnichannel strategy.

We’d Love to Hear from You If You Have

• 15+ years of experience in retail strategy and operations, having scaled an emerging or high-growth retail brand from early-stage growth to a multi-market operation; experience opening dozens of locations across North America is a strong asset.
• Experience building a strong retail playbook and operational systems and frameworks that are replicable at scale across multiple locations.
• A genuine obsession with customer experience, with the instinct to sweat the details that make a store feel unmistakablyon brand.
• Experience owning a retail P&L and driving the economics of a store network, including sales, occupancy, labor, and inventory, with comfort using data and technology to make decisions at scale.
• Leadership experience building and developing retail teams and future leaders across multiple locations, with a hands‑on, entrepreneurial mindset suited to a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
• Willingness to travel across store locations regularly as the store network grows.
