This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with customers, supporting outside sales, preparing estimates, and becoming a trusted product expert while contributing to a collaborative and supportive team.
What You'll Be Doing
Reporting to the Sales Lead, you will play an integral role in supporting customers and the sales team by:
Customer Service & Sales Support
- Provide outstanding service to new and existing customers by responding to inquiries regarding pricing, quotations, product availability, deliveries, retail locations, and product features.
- Prepare accurate quotes and estimates based on customer requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships by providing timely communication and exceptional service throughout the sales process.
- Assist customers with product recommendations, installation guidance, and technical support.
- Source non-standard products when required and ensure accurate pricing and purchasing information.
- Resolve customer inquiries from initial contact through to successful completion.
- Stay current on new products and product enhancements.
- Act as a key resource for the Outside Sales team by providing product knowledge and sales support.
Order Management
- Process customer orders while monitoring inventory availability.
- Enter purchase orders and pricing into SAP and coordinate with Procurement.
- Maintain accurate customer, order, and shipment records.
- Follow up on quotations and participate in proactive business development activities, including outbound prospecting and customer follow-up.
- Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
3+ years of experience in Inside Sales, Customer Service, Estimating, or a similar customer-facing role.
Experience within the fencing, building materials, construction products, or related industry is considered a strong asset.
Post-secondary education in Business Administration or a related discipline is an asset.
Ability to read and interpret product drawings or blueprints is preferred.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Experience working with SAP or another ERP system is an asset.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to build lasting customer relationships.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
