Job description

Who we are We’re not your typical non-profit.

We bring swagger to everything we do.

That means we move with purpose in every step, driven by our commitment to putting our community at the centre of our work.

Every day, we ask ourselves to see possibilities where others see limits.

Because people with Parkinson’s and care partners deserve better.

Better care, more inclusive research and access to treatment and support that make living well possible.

Our mission is to empower and inspire people living with Parkinson’s and their care partners to live fully and courageously.

Through community support, advocacy, and research, we encourage others to see a diagnosis not as a dimming of light, but a spark for a new beginning.

Move forward.

Together.

On Mission.

Who we need Reporting to the Director of Finance, we are hiring an Application Implementation Project Manager for a 12 month contract.

In this role, you will lead the organization’s internal activities for the implementation of NetSuite.

Working closely with business leaders, the internal project team, subject-matter experts, and the implementation partner’s project manager, you will ensure that organizational requirements, decisions, data, resources, and project deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule. As the Application Implementation Project Manager, you will own the internal project plan, coordinates dependencies and activities across departments, monitors the project budget and timeline, and provide clear reporting on progress, risks, issues, and decisions.

The role will proactively identify risks, facilitate resolution of project issues, and escalate matters requiring leadership attention. This is a remote role based anywhere in Canada, with occasional travel for team meetings and events, typically one or two times per year.

Key Responsibilities: Project Planning, Governance, and Coordination Develop and maintain the internal implementation work plan in coordination with the implementation partner’s project manager, ensuring organizational obligations, activities, deliverables, milestones, dependencies, and deadlines are aligned with the overall project schedule, assigned to accountable owners, and tracked through completion. Coordinate internal participation in requirements gathering, process walkthroughs, configuration reviews, validation activities, and business decision-making. Maintain complete and current project governance records, including the project schedule, budget tracker, risk and issue log, decision log, defect log, change request log, action tracker, testing dashboard, and status reports. Document and track key business, technical, scope, configuration, data, and implementation decisions, including accountable decision owners, required dates, rationale, dependencies, impacts, and approval status.

Technical Dependencies, Change Management, and Operational Readiness Coordinate internal and third-party resources involved in system integrations, data exchanges, licensing, access, security, privacy, and other technical dependencies. Monitor completion of required project training, process documentation, end-user materials, communications, change-management activities, and operational readiness requirements. Coordinate cutover and go-live readiness activities, ensuring assigned tasks, approvals, data validation, testing sign-offs, user preparation, support arrangements, rollback considerations, and contingency plans are completed. Support the transition from implementation to operational ownership, including documentation, outstanding issue management, post-go-live stabilization, support arrangements, and handover to designated system owners. Risk, Issue, Budget, and Stakeholder Management Regularly review risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, overdue decisions, resource constraints, quality concerns, and potential scope, schedule, or budget impacts with the internal team and implementation partner, escalating matters requiring leadership attention. Monitor implementation partner performance and deliverables, identify variances from agreed scope, schedule, quality expectations, or contractual commitments, and coordinate resolution. Provide regular project updates to sponsors and stakeholders, highlighting progress, upcoming obligations, budget status, testing quality, defects, risks, decisions required, and matters requiring leadership intervention. Team Collaboration and Communication Participate in Parkinson Canada's EOS operating framework, including regular meeting rhythms, quarterly priorities (Rocks), and defined role accountabilities.

Work collaboratively with business leaders, internal project team members, subject-matter experts, Finance, Operations, IT, and other departments involved in the implementation. Facilitate clear communication between internal stakeholders and the implementation partner. Support a coordinated, practical, and well-documented implementation process that prepares the organization for effective adoption and ongoing system ownership. What you bring Post-secondary education in business administration, finance, information systems, project management, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Demonstrated experience managing system implementation, ERP, finance system, or enterprise application projects. Experience coordinating cross-functional project teams, external implementation partners, and business subject-matter experts. Strong understanding of project governance, risk and issue management, testing coordination, data migration, change management, and go-live readiness. Working knowledge of core finance and accounting processes (e.g., general ledger, AP/AR, month-end close, reconciliation, financial reporting, and internal controls) sufficient to validate requirements and challenge scope, along with experience working with reporting, integrations, security, privacy, or operational requirements. Project management certification or formal project management training is considered an asset. Hands-on experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP system is strongly preferred, including familiarity with core ERP concepts such as chart of accounts, multi-entity/subsidiary structures, financial reporting, saved searches, and system configuration or customization. Demonstrated experience managing external vendors and implementation partners against a statement of work (SOW), including deliverable acceptance, change orders, and holding partners accountable to scope, schedule, quality, and contractual commitments. Experience managing project budgets, including forecasting, tracking actuals against plan, monitoring burn rate, and managing variances and re-forecasting. Experience leading organizational change management and user adoption for system implementations; formal change-management certification (e.g., Prosci/ADKAR) is considered an asset. Business analysis and process-mapping capability sufficient to assess whether business requirements are complete, well-formed, and testable. Proficiency with project and portfolio management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or Asana) and strong Microsoft Excel skills. Familiarity with recognized project delivery methodologies (waterfall, agile, or hybrid) as applied to phased ERP implementations. Compensation: At Parkinson Canada, we believe that compensation should be fair and supportive of your experience and growth.

For this role, the salary is between $78,000–$92,000 per annum.

Our salary ranges reflect progression from learning in the role to excelling, with each offer based on skills, experience, and role complexity.

We strive for equitable, consistent pay, though rates may vary within the same role based on performance, specialized knowledge, and impact.
