Senior IT Project Manager to support a maintenance operations and work management process

Our client is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to join a large-scale Maintenance Optimization Program, leading the delivery of IT initiatives that support modernized maintenance work management processes and enabling new business capabilities through Dynamics and related enterprise applications.

This role is 6 months to start with a strong possibility of extension and requires the candidate to be in office 5 days a week in downtown Calgary.

Must Have:

• 10+ years as an IT Project Manager delivering enterprise technology projects from planning through implementation.
• Experience as a Project Manager on business process improvement projects involving maintenance work management, maintenance planning, scheduling, asset management, or operational efficiency improvements.
• Experience delivering ERP upgrade projects for maintenance or work management processes (Microsoft Dynamics preferred).
• Experience partnering with business SMEs to translate operational process requirements into technology solutions.
• Experience managing project governance, budgets, vendors, risks, executive reporting, and cross-functional delivery.
• Experience within energy, pipeline, utilities, mining, manufacturing, or other asset-intensive industries.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of IT initiatives supporting maintenance work management transformation, from project initiation and planning through implementation and operational transition.
• Partner closely with business transformation leaders, maintenance operations, and technical SMEs to translate evolving business processes into executable technology workstreams.
• Establish project governance, executive reporting, steering committee updates, and decision-making processes while proactively managing risks, issues, dependencies, and scope.
• Coordinate delivery across business, IT, vendors, and third-party partners, ensuring successful testing, deployment, and operational readiness.
• Manage project financials, resource forecasting, vendor performance, and implementation activities to deliver projects on time and within budget.
