AE - Store Team Leader (Store Manager)

YOUR ROLE

As the full-time Store Team Leader, you are the CEO of your store. You are an entrepreneurial-minded business owner who takes pride in maximizing the daily operations of your store. You are passionate about developing a strong team through effective coaching and training, you are a pro at making tough, strategic decisions to drive your business, you consistently deliver operational excellence, and your store always meets AEO Brand Standards. Most importantly, you bring your REAL self to work every day!

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive results: Maximize store productivity and build guest loyalty through a best‑in‑class guest experience. Create, manage and own the store’s business plan to meet KPI goals.
• Business innovation: Own the controllable elements of the store’s P&L, analyze reporting and daily sales trends to make real‑time, innovative business decisions that achieve store financial goals.
• People leadership: Recruit, hire and retain a high‑performing team. Encourage career development, provide succession planning and conduct performance reviews.
• Teamwork and culture: Champion a culture of teamwork and recognition by setting goals, holding the team accountable to brand standards, and celebrating outstanding performance daily.
• Maintain AEO Brand Standards: Consistently uphold visual and merchandising processes, own Floorsets, merchandise adjustments, replenishment and ensure the store is guest‑ready.
• Workforce management: Create well‑thought‑out schedules based on traffic, calendars and payroll reports to meet business needs and keep payroll in check.
• Integrity: Demonstrate integrity in compensation decisions, ensure audit and shrink results meet Asset Protection Standards, and always follow AEO policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Love AE and Aerie products.
• Have led functional teams in a retail management role.
• Can multi‑task with strong attention to detail, priority‑setting and time management.
• Understand employment law and team development.
• Track record of effective communication and conflict management.
• Strong business acumen.
• Can analyze reporting to drive sales.
• Flexible availability to work when guests shop.

QUEBEC APPLICANTS

In Quebec, Store Team Leaders are required to communicate with the Canadian head office outside of Quebec and the Global head office in the United States, so English proficiency is required for this role.
