Reporting to the lead development scientist, and working closely with a team of development scientists, you will provide technical support for analytical testing used to characterize blood and blood products. You will contribute to assay development and characterization studies, conduct lab-based assays and tests, analyze and interpret data, and help generate robust scientific evidence to advance product and process development initiatives. Your focus will be to support projects introducing new testing capabilities to netCAD and stabilizing current testing capabilities.

  • Work independently (i.e. to complete specific focused studies independently, including all elements from design and execution to data analysis and reporting) as well as a part of a large development project team, as determined by project needs.
  • May contribute to national and international visibility of Canadian Blood Services development work by contributing to manuscript preparation for journal submission, or preparing and submitting abstracts to, and presenting posters and oral abstracts at, local, national and international blood industry conferences.
