HireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company find a Quality Technician, Receiving Quality to support receiving quality operations by ensuring incoming materials and components meet established quality standards and specifications.

In this role, you’ll perform inspections, document quality results, and support continuous process improvements to maintain high-quality manufacturing operations. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct audits, investigate quality issues, implement corrective actions, and help strengthen quality management systems.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in manufacturing quality processes. They are comfortable performing inspections, interpreting quality requirements, and working cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement.

As a Quality Technician, Receiving Quality , you'll:
  • Perform incoming and part-level inspections to verify products meet engineering specifications and quality standards.
  • Process incoming materials and document inspection results using SAP, Jira, and other quality systems.
  • Create and maintain inspection plans, work instructions, and quality documentation.
  • Conduct visual, functional, and mechanical inspections of components, including injection-molded parts, castings, 3D-printed parts, PCBAs, and electrical sub-assemblies.
  • Perform metrology inspections using a coordinate measuring machine (CMM) as needed.
  • Support root cause investigations, corrective actions, process improvement initiatives, and quality metrics reporting.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and maintain compliance with quality management processes.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive, semiconductor, aerospace, or similar industries preferred)
  • Experience performing quality inspections using control plans and engineering specifications
  • Experience developing and executing inspection criteria for injection-molded parts, castings, 3D-printed parts, PCBAs, and electrical sub-assemblies
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, including Docs, Sheets, and Slides
  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

Day 1 Requirement
  • Composite toe, electrostatic dissipative (ESD) safety shoes that meet ASTM F2412 (Standard Test Methods for Foot Protection) and ASTM F2413 (Standard Specification Performance Requirements for Foot Protection)

Bonus Qualifications:
  • Experience using SAP and/or Jira
  • Experience inspecting mechanical, electrical, and electronic components using precision measurement tools
  • Experience in the automotive, software, contract manufacturing, or customer management industries

Commitment: This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via HireArt. It will be onsite and available to candidates who are local to the Hayward, CA area.
