About the OpportunityService New Brunswick (SNB), on behalf of the Department of Health's Provincial Health Application Services (PHAS), is seeking an experienced
Senior Project Manager III to lead the implementation of the
New Brunswick Cancer Network (NBCN) Lung and Cervical HPV Screening Project.
The Provincial Health Application Services Branch is responsible for the delivery, maintenance, enhancement, optimization, and support of healthcare applications across New Brunswick. As part of the Department of Health's modernization strategy, the successful consultant will oversee the implementation of modern digital solutions supporting the launch of the
Lung and Cervical Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Screening Programs, replacing legacy cancer screening systems with secure, scalable, and integrated healthcare technology.
This is a senior leadership opportunity requiring extensive public-sector healthcare project management experience, stakeholder engagement, governance, risk management, and digital transformation expertise.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing overall leadership and governance for large-scale healthcare technology initiatives.
- Managing project scope, schedule, budget, quality, resources, and deliverables.
- Developing and maintaining detailed project plans.
- Managing project timelines, milestones, and resource allocations.
- Preparing and presenting project status reports to executive leadership.
- Leading communication planning and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Coordinating internal teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
- Managing project risks, issues, dependencies, assumptions, and change requests.
- Monitoring project budgets and financial performance.
- Facilitating Steering Committee meetings and executive briefings.
- Leading cross-functional project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensuring successful implementation and transition into operations.
- Working within the SNB Project Management Framework.
- Supporting additional strategic initiatives as assigned.
Requirements
Mandatory Requirements (M1–M6)Applicants
must clearly demonstrate all of the following mandatory qualifications:
M1Bachelor's or University Degree in:
- Computer Science
- Information Technology
- Business Administration
- Health Informatics
- Health Sciences
- or a closely related discipline.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered.
M2Minimum
10 years of demonstrated experience in
IT Project Management, managing complex enterprise technology initiatives.
M3Minimum
2 years of demonstrated experience as a
Senior Project Manager delivering
Digital Health projects within the Public Sector in New Brunswick, Canada.
M4Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
M5Availability to commence work on
August 24, 2026.
