Boring Mill Operator

Job Description:

• - set up and operate FERMAT floor boring mill TNC 640 using Heidenhain (German) controls to machine components according to engineering drawings and specifications
• - read and interpret blueprints, work orders and technical drawings
• - select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures and work-holding devices
• - perform machine setups, offsets, tool changes and program adjustments as required
• - measure and inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges and dial indicators
• - ensure all parts meet dimensional and quality requirements
• - maintain accurate production and inspection records
• - perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping tasks
• - identify opportunities to improve machining processes, tooling and cycle times
• - follow all company safety policies and procedures
• - work collaboratively with supervisors, programmers, engineers and other machinists to meet production schedules

Available shifts

• Day Shift (1st) Monday to Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm
• Afternoon shift (2nd) Monday to Thursday 3:30pm to 1:30am

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delta, BC.
