The Financial Administrator carries out a variety of financial activities (e.g. processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, service billing). Supporting the Team Leader, Accounting and Reporting, the incumbent records project and contract budgets, and assists with year-end activities.
KEY AND PERIODIC ACTIVITIES
The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative but not all-inclusive:
Primary
• Enter accounts payable data
• Maintain project budgets and transfer of funds, ensuring appropriate allocation of project expenditures based on Client-Partner instructions
• Compile high-risk claim documentation for review
• Respond to inquiries about financial processes (e.g. accounts payable, billing, invoices)
• Prepare and issue monthly service billing invoices
• Prepare and distribute monthly return of funds reports
• Assist with year-end activities
• Coordinate and process direct deposit requests, set up new vendors and make changes to existing vendors
Other
• Support other employees with regard to contract financial administration, accounts payable, payroll service billing and accounts receivable
• Provide administrative support to other Finance department teams
• Other duties as assigned
SKILLS
General and Specific Knowledge
• Finance and accounting principles
Formal Education and/or Certification(s) and Experience
• Minimum: college diploma in accounting or related field with two years’ relevant experience, or the equivalent
Abilities
• Use applicable computer software and operating systems
• Perform repetitive data entry with high level of precision
• Adhere to strict deadlines
• Demonstrate attention to detail
