Operations Supervisor

This is an interview position plus CEV.

Ce poste de superviseur de première ligne a pour mission de promouvoir la culture de sécurité avant tout de FedEx Express (FXE) et de gérer les opérations de tri quotidiennes ainsi que l’équipe de manutentionnaires de fret au sein d’une succursale. Le superviseur a la responsabilité de diriger et de guider les employés dans la manipulation appropriée des colis, le routage et la résolution des éventuelles défaillances de service liées à la fonction de tri. Il supervise l’ensemble des activités des manutentionnaires, notamment en orientant leur travail, en leur prodiguant mentorat, coaching et formation, et en veillant au respect des politiques et procédures de FXE ainsi que des réglementations gouvernementales dans les processus

This is a frontline supervisor position that supports the FedEx Express (FXE) Safety Above All Culture and manages specific day-to-day sort operations and assigned Cargo Handlers (CH) staff within a station. Responsible to lead and guide employees in proper package handling, routing and recovery of potential service failures within the station sort function. The Operations Supervisor has oversight for all CH functions, including the direction of work activities, employee mentoring/coaching/training ensuring administrative processes are compliant with FXE policies and procedures and government regulations

CONNAISSANCES, COMPÉTENCES, APTITUDES

• Diplôme collégial
• Deux ans d’expérience dans les opérations de tri chez FedEx ou dans un poste horaire de niveau senior OU,
• Deux ans d’expérience en supervision dans un domaine apparenté.
• Posséder un permis de conduire valide et un bon dossier de conducteur.
• Pouvoir soulever des charges de 70 lb et de manœuvrer, avec l’aide d’un appareil approprié, des colis pesant jusqu’à 150 lb.
• Aptitude à
• réussir la formation de base et la formation périodique (y compris l’obtention et le maintien d’un certificat de marchandises dangereuses).
• encadrer et agir comme source de connaissances pour les autres employés.

• Traite et résout la gestion des conflits

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• College degree
• 2 years FedEx sort operations or senior level hourly role experience OR,
• 2 years supervisory experience in related industry
• Must possess valid driver’s license and a good driving record
• EXCEL Leadership Development Stream (Preferred)
• Ability to lift 70 lbs and to maneuver any package weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment.
• Ability to successfully complete all basic and recurrency training (including completing and maintaining DG certification
• Ability to mentor, coach, and act as a knowledge resource to other employees
• Ability to inspire a shared vision and empower and motivate a team
• Ability to prioritize and delegate in a time-sensitive manner
• Addresses and resolves conflict management
• Communicates with others in a clear, concise, and timely manner. Listens and responds with empathy.
