Your Role as a Senior Mechanical Engineer:
Choose your own adventure! Let’s talk about how your skills, experience, goals, and passions can find a home at JLR. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, your role will include:
- Working and collaborating with an established, integrated technical team of engineers, technologists and support staff on multidisciplinary projects.
- Assisting with the management of workload to ensure that project deadlines are met, and final deliverables align with client expectations.
- Providing technical mechanical expertise for engineering studies and condition assessments.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements while overseeing quality assurance, constructability reviews, field issue resolution, and the integration of safe, maintainable, and energy-efficient design solutions.
- Applying engineering fundamentals and tools to design mechanical systems.
- Reviewing and recommending technical designs, specifications, and reports.
- Assisting project managers, engineers, and technologists with project execution during all project phases.
- Communicating effectively with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Supporting proposals, scope development, technical solution planning, and client presentations while building and strengthening relationships with key industrial and manufacturing clients.
- Participating in the preparation of proposals and the development of estimates for engineering services.
- Mentoring junior engineers, engineering graduates, and technologists.
