Job description

Tasks

  • Perform system start-ups in the spring.
  • Conduct mid-season inspections and system checks.
  • Perform system shutdowns and winterization procedures in the fall.
  • Diagnose and repair leaks.
  • Replace and adjust sprinkler heads.
  • Repair valves, low-voltage electrical components, and controllers.
  • Optimize existing systems to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Program and adjust conventional and smart (Wi-Fi) irrigation controllers.
  • Enter service records and photos into the company’s management system.
  • Perform any other related duties as required.

Job requirements

  • Experience as a field service technician or in a similar role.
  • Comfortable diagnosing hydraulic, mechanical, and low-voltage electrical issues.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated autonomy, professionalism, and reliability.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver’s licence and a good driving record.
  • Availability to work a variable schedule starting as early as 6:00 and occasionally ending in the evening.
