Lead Transportation Design projects with the Region of Durham as a Project Supervisor, based in Whitby. Oversee project development and ensure technical compliance with industry standards.
In this regular full-time role, you’ll report to the Project Manager while managing diverse in-house Transportation Design projects. Key responsibilities include oversight of technical reviews and ensuring adherence to laws and regional standards. Youll coordinate with various divisions, municipalities, and the public while mentoring engineering technologists and participating in design committees.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the completion of in-house Transportation Design projects
• Oversee technical reviews of projects by consulting engineers
• Coordinate with municipal bodies, public entities, and external agencies
• Supervise and mentor project designers adhering to regional policies
• Participate in design standards committees on various technical matters
Requirements:
• Three-year Civil Engineering Technology diploma or equivalent experience
• Eligible for registration as a Certified Engineering Technologist
• Extensive experience in transportation project design
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations
• Valid Class G Ontario driver’s licence
