Sr. Business Analyst (Contract)

Role: Senior Business Analyst

We are looking for a seasoned Business Analyst to join our team. This role requires strong communication skills, a genuine appreciation for process, and a proven ability to define clear, detailed requirements for cross-functional teams. You should be comfortable owning tasks, reaching out to stakeholders independently, and supporting both clients and internal teams through to delivery — ideally with a background navigating the pace and variety of agency work.

What You Will Do

• Lead requirements gathering for internal and client-facing initiatives.
• Conduct audits and interviews with clients and developers to improve ways of working.
• Document clear and detailed requirements that support UX, UI, and development teams.
• Translate business objectives into user stories, use cases, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
• Design and maintain workflows in Jira, keeping backlogs groomed and priorities visible.
• Identify inefficiencies in existing processes and design better ones.
• Work closely with clients and internal teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Create models, diagrams, and specifications for technical teams as needed.
• Support QA and post-launch validation to ensure delivered work matches intent.
• Act as a subject matter expert for developers and QA.

Required Experience

• 5–10 years in digital delivery or solutioning, with meaningful time spent in an agency environment.
• Proven experience writing detailed requirements in Jira and working closely with UX/UI and dev teams.
• Experience balancing Agile and Waterfall approaches depending on project and client needs.
• Very strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Have

• Experience with wireframing/prototyping tools (Figma, Axure, or similar).
• Background in SaaS, fintech, or another regulated industry.
• Experience with accessibility standards (ADA/WCAG) in requirements gathering.
• Exposure to portfolio-level or multi-project coordination.
• Comfortable prompting and refining outputs from generative tools
