Job descriptionWe are seeking a full-time, live-out nanny to join a nanny share with two families. The job is Monday to Friday, 8:15 - 4:30pm beginning in February or March. You would look after two 1.5 year olds, and our kindergarten-aged son for two hours after school. We're looking for a nanny who is enthusiastic about kids, nurtures their curiousity, loves nature walks, arts and crafts, and toddler play groups at the community centre. We believe in gentle parenting with clear boundaries. We believe in listening to kids and responding to their needs. Letting kids learn through lots of play! We love healthy balanced meals and restful naps each day. We'd like a nanny who is warm, caring, calm, and organized enough to make sure the kids get out of the house every day. Ideally you have experience with young kids and some first aid. Spanish would be a bonus, we're sort of a bilingual household. Our youngest, Nico, is 20 months. He's smiley, cuddly and loves to make you laugh. His favourite things might be dancing, repeating words after you, and building lego. He loves to visit the duck pond and park near our home. He adores his big brother Oliver. Oliver, our oldest, is 5 and started kindergarten this year. You'll walk 5 minutes to pick him up from school each day and hang out at the playground for a bit before coming home for a snack. Oliver has lots of energy, loves to run around and play transformers, makes friends easily, works extremely hard on arts and crafts, and would love if you could teach him about science (don't worry, he always has lots of science books). He loves his little brother and takes pretty good care of them when they play together, mostly. We'll also have a third companion from another family, roughly 1.5-2.5. We'll be looking for another family to round out the nanny share who shares our same values. You'll probably spend some days at each families house with all the kids. We had a nanny share previously when Oliver was young and it worked out wonderfully! The kids have a play mate their same age to keep each other busy, and spending time at different houses means the toys always stay interesting. Duties: We'd like you to spend most of your time nurturing the kids. Some meal prep will be required for snacks and lunch, but we'll have healthy, easy options on hand. We don't ask any housekeeping duties other than tidying up after the kids day. We are respectful employers and would like to set a regular schedule with vacation time. Please send me a note with a bit about yourself, what you're looking for, and what your rate is. Thanks!
