Job Title: House Manager with Meal Prep Focus Location: Woodstock, ON (moving to Thorndale, ON near London in Dec/Jan) Employment Type: Part-time | 18–20 hours/week Schedule: 3 days/week (Monday and Friday preferred; third day flexible), approximately 9:00 AM–3:00/3:30 PM Compensation: $30–$35/hour, depending on experience Start Date: ASAP Requirements Smoke-free Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Fragrance-free and hygienic (no perfumes, scented products, fake nails, etc.) Food Handler Safety Certification preferred (family will support obtaining) CPR/First Aid preferred (family will support obtaining) About Our Family We are a busy family of five, soon to be six, currently living in Woodstock and preparing to move to a larger rural property just outside Thorndale. Our home is active, welcoming, and centered around our young children, healthy routines, home-cooked meals, and spending quality time together. The mother is home full-time and actively involved with the children, so this is not primarily a childcare role. We also have professional cleaners, meaning the focus is on maintaining the home's daily rhythm rather than deep cleaning. We're looking for someone who enjoys creating calm through organization, meal preparation, laundry, and thoughtful household support. As we transition into our new home, we're excited to find someone who can become a trusted, long-term partner in keeping everything running smoothly. Who You Are Emotionally intelligent, intuitive, and able to work independently Warm and kind with children while understanding the role is household-focused Proactive, noticing what needs to be done before being asked Reliable, detail-oriented, and quick to learn family preferences Trustworthy, discreet, and respectful of privacy Appreciates healthy living and takes pride in preparing nutritious meals and maintaining an organized home Key Responsibilities Core Weekly Priorities Laundry & Linen Care Full laundry management from wash to put-away Ironing/steaming as needed Weekly bedding and towel rotation Maintain an organized laundry area Meal Support Receive and organize grocery deliveries Ingredient prep and light cooking alongside the family Prepare simple weekday lunches Batch-cook two family meals each week Kitchen clean-up and maintenance Grocery pickup after the family's move, if needed Daily Household Reset Load/unload dishwasher and hand wash items Vacuum high-traffic areas Take out trash and recycling Wipe kitchen surfaces Reset mudroom, toy areas, bathrooms, and common spaces Additional Responsibilities (as time allows) Organize closets, pantry, fridge, and household systems Seasonal organization and clothing rotations Monitor household inventory and shopping lists Receive packages, sort mail, donations, returns, and dry cleaning (mileage reimbursed) Light backup childcare when needed Prepare school items, lunches, backpacks, and snacks Deep clean fridge, pantry, and storage areas periodically Assist with travel packing, holiday prep, and household projects Oversee cleaners and contractors Report maintenance concerns Simple outdoor resets (deck cushions, outdoor organization) How to Apply Please submit: A brief introduction Current resume Three professional references A background check is required.
