Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Azure Senior Engineer to design, implement, secure, automate, and support enterprise-scale cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Azure infrastructure, networking, security, DevOps, automation, and cloud governance, while collaborating with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and highly available cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Services

• Design, deploy, and manage Azure-based infrastructure solutions.
• Build highly available, scalable, and secure cloud environments.
• Implement Azure Landing Zones and cloud governance frameworks.
• Manage Azure services including:
  • Azure Virtual Machines
  • Azure Virtual Networks (VNet)
  • Azure Load Balancer
  • Azure Application Gateway
  • Azure Storage Accounts
• Configure Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.

Security & Compliance

• Implement Azure security best practices and Zero Trust principles.
• Manage:
  • Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory)
  • Conditional Access
  • Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
  • Privileged Identity Management (PIM)
• Implement Microsoft Defender for Cloud and security monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

Automation & DevOps

• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using:
  • Terraform
  • Bicep
  • ARM Templates
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using:
  • Azure DevOps
  • GitHub Actions
• Automate operational tasks using:
  • PowerShell
  • Azure CLI
  • Scripting

Monitoring & Operations

• Monitor Azure environments using:
  • Azure Monitor
  • Log Analytics
  • Application Insights
  • Microsoft Sentinel
• Troubleshoot performance, connectivity, and security issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.

Networking

• Design and manage:
  • Azure Virtual Networks (VNet)
  • ExpressRoute
  • VPN Gateways
  • Network Security Groups (NSGs)
  • Private Endpoints
  • Azure DNS Services
• Ensure secure hybrid connectivity between on-premises and Azure environments.

Cost Optimization

• Monitor and optimize Azure resource utilization.
• Implement FinOps best practices for cloud cost management.
• Recommend strategies to reduce operational expenses.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Mentor junior cloud engineers and administrators.
• Participate in enterprise cloud transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with application teams to modernize workloads.
• Develop technical documentation and operational runbooks.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.

Experience

• 8+ years of IT infrastructure experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on Microsoft Azure experience.
• Experience designing and supporting large-scale enterprise cloud deployments.
• Experience managing production environments requiring high availability and disaster recovery.
