IT Support Analyst (Bilingual English/French)
Location: Brantford, ON (Hybrid)
Duration: 6-Month Contract
Pay Rate: $25/hour

About the Opportunity
Our client is the global leader in refractory products and solutions, is seeking a Bilingual IT Support Analyst to join their team in Brantford, Ontario. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a complex, mission-critical environment supporting enterprise infrastructure, industrial systems, and end users across multiple business functions.
The successful candidate will provide hands-on technical support, maintain local IT infrastructure, and act as a key liaison between end users, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure reliable and efficient technology operations.
Key Responsibilities
End User Support
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for hardware, software, network, and access-related issues
- Respond to incidents and service requests within established SLAs
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems or escalate as required
- Support end users across enterprise applications and business systems
- Assist with remote access and connectivity troubleshooting
Infrastructure & Systems Support
- Install, configure, deploy, and maintain desktop and laptop systems
- Support client/server environments and local network infrastructure
- Monitor system performance, reliability, and availability
- Perform patching, upgrades, and approved system changes
- Maintain system documentation and configuration records
Mainframe & Operations Support
- Provide support for the site's critical mainframe environment
- Monitor system health, uptime, and performance
- Coordinate issue resolution with centralized IT teams and vendors
- Support incident response and maintenance activities for critical systems
IT Operations & Compliance
- Maintain IT asset inventory, including hardware and software licensing
- Ensure compliance with corporate IT standards and security policies
- Participate in audits, reporting, and documentation activities
- Assist with local infrastructure initiatives and IT improvement projects
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills
- 3+ years of experience providing Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to end users
- 3+ years of experience installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop/laptop systems
- 3+ years of experience working with the ServiceNow platform
- 3+ years of experience troubleshooting LAN/WAN connectivity, switches, and endpoint devices
- Experience supporting virtualized environments such as VMware
- Experience supporting remote access technologies such as Citrix and Remote Desktop (RDP)
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and enterprise environments
Education
- Diploma or certification in Information Technology or a related field
- Post-secondary degree or advanced diploma preferred
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, VMware, or ITIL are considered an asset
Language Requirements
- Bilingual in English and French (required)

- Experience supporting IT infrastructure in a corporate or industrial environment
- Experience working with mission-critical or mainframe systems
- Knowledge of ITIL service management practices
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with broader IT teams
