Job description
Overview
At KPMG in Canada, our people bring their unique perspectives to Canada's most important challenges. Here, you can build momentum that reaches beyond our business, develop skills for the future, and take ownership of your career with support at every stage. Join a firm where your career can make a difference.

KPMG's International Corporate Tax practice continues to expand its support for multinational organizations navigating cross-border tax matters and evolving global tax frameworks. This includes growing demand related to Pillar Two compliance and advisory work, alongside broader international tax planning, reorganizations, and transaction-related tax matters.

As a Tax Specialist, International Corporate Tax, you will contribute to both compliance and advisory engagements involving large multinational clients. This role offers exposure to complex global tax considerations, opportunities for early client interaction, and the ability to develop specialized expertise in emerging areas such as Pillar Two, while building a strong foundation across international corporate tax.

What you will do
  • Prepare and review Pillar Two tax returns, and assist tax compliance teams with international tax components of corporate tax returns
  • Conduct technical research on cross-border tax issues and interpret relevant legislation
  • Analyze international tax implications related to structures, reorganizations, and transactions
  • Advise on tax planning opportunities and support the development of client-specific strategies
  • Collaborate on engagements with managers, senior managers, and partners across tax practices
  • Interact directly with multinational clients to gather information and support deliverables
  • Contribute to international projects, including reorganizations and M&A tax work
  • Apply KPMG tax technologies and tools to support efficient service delivery
What you bring to the role
  • Member of Canadian Bar or CPA designation completed or in progress, or equivalent professional qualification
  • Foundational knowledge of international corporate tax concepts; exposure to Pillar Two is an asset
  • Strong research and analytical capabilities applied to technical tax issues
  • Experience working with multinational clients or cross-border engagements is an asset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work within deadlines
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in a professional services environment
Language Requirements (Quebec)
Due to the nature of this role, proficiency in English is required in addition to French. You will be required to communicate directly with colleagues and clients across Canada and internationally, including multinational organizations operating in English-speaking jurisdictions, where English is the common business language.

Providing you with the support you need to be at your best

Adjustments and accommodations throughout the recruitment process
At KPMG, we are committed to fostering an inclusive recruitment process where all candidates can be themselves and excel. We aim to provide a positive experience and are prepared to offer adjustments or accommodations to help you perform at your best. Adjustments (informal requests), such as extra preparation time or the option for micro breaks during interviews, and accommodations (formal requests), such as accessible communication supports or technology aids, are tailored to individual needs and role requirements. You will have an opportunity to request an adjustment or accommodation at any point throughout the recruitment process.
