Reporting to the Manager of Child Care Services, the PAIII provides leadership in pedagogical practice, curriculum development, inclusion, family engagement, and community collaboration. The role supports educators through coaching, mentoring, reflective practice, and professional learning while connecting families and programs with community resources and support services. The PAIII works collaboratively with the Child Care Leadership Team to strengthen responsive, relationship-based early learning environments grounded in the BC Early Learning Framework and Britannia's values of inclusion, equity, and community.

  • Support inclusive practices by collaborating with educators, families, and community professionals to develop responsive strategies that promote the participation and well-being of all children.
  • Coordinate practicum placements, mentor student educators, and support recruitment, onboarding, and orientation of new employees.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships that strengthen family engagement, community connections, and coordinated service delivery across Britannia Child Care programs.
  • Participate in departmental initiatives including strategic planning, grant implementation and reporting, quality improvement, and the development of resources and communications for families and educators.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement that reflects current research, emerging practices, and the values of the BC Early Learning Framework.
  • Supports the production of promotional website content, materials and media posts

  • Ability to assess needs, coordinate supports, and connect families and educators with appropriate community resources.
  • Strong project coordination, facilitation, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to develop workshops, presentations, reports, and educational resources.
