Job description
The ideal candidate will have experience working within the Ontario Broader Public Sector (BPS) procurement environment, preferably in higher education or another public sector organization, and be familiar with procurement, contract management, and legal review processes.

The resource will be responsible for:

Managing the intake and coordination of procurement and contract requests from ITS teams.

Advising teams on BPS Procurement Directive requirements, College procurement policies, and contract processes.

Preparing procurement documentation (e.g., non-competitive procurement justifications, competitive award reports, and supporting approval documentation).
Coordinating requests through Purchasing, Legal, Finance, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion.

Reviewing technology agreements from an IT operational perspective and working with Legal to ensure business requirements are addressed.

Ensuring procurement and contract activities comply with institutional policies and governance requirements.

Managing multiple concurrent requests while prioritizing work based on business needs, deadlines, and risk.

The successful candidate should have strong organizational and stakeholder management skills, excellent written communication, and experience managing public sector procurement and contract processes from initiation through execution.

Education & Certifications

Required: Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Public Policy, Law, or a related field.

Preferred Certifications:

Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP / CSCMP)

Certified Public Procurement Buyer (CPPB) or Specialist (CPPO)

Certificate in Public Sector Procurement Law (Osgoode or equivalent)

Pay rate range $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
