Job description

Tasks

  • Plan, organize, and coordinate daily delivery activities to various store locations.
  • Ensure deliveries are completed on schedule to meet operational requirements.
  • Participate in route planning and transportation optimization initiatives.
  • Coordinate the use of a fleet of approximately 10 trucks.
  • Supervise, motivate, and support a team of approximately 15 employees involved in logistics operations.
  • Maintain effective communication between suppliers, the distribution center, drivers, warehouse employees, and store locations.
  • Participate in the implementation, optimization, and continuous improvement of logistics processes.
  • Support teams through periods of growth and organizational change.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency, prioritization, and resource utilization.
  • Monitor daily operations closely to ensure smooth and efficient deliveries.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, operational priorities, and company quality standards.
  • Perform any other related duties as required.

Job requirements

  • Approximately 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience managing or coordinating a team.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage and motivate employees during periods of change.
  • Dynamic, proactive, and action-oriented individual.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
  • Adaptable and agile in a constantly evolving environment.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate operational needs.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of the transportation or logistics industry.
  • Knowledge of the food industry (an asset).
