TheIntermediate Human Factors Designer is responsible forproviding engineering support from a Human Factors perspective to the design of nuclear power generation equipmentdigital instrumentation andcontrolsystemsfor projects involving control monitoring and operator displays in the nuclearisland for existing customers and new builds.
Typical assignments will include preparing client-deliverable Human Factors and Ergonomics work packages managing technical delivery to project programs as well as leading and contributing to AtkinsRéalis bids and initiatives. As a member of a client focused teamthe positionmay entail opportunities towork on a wide variety of projects across a range of sectors including Nuclearand Energy Transition Defence and other Transportation and Infrastructure areas.
The job position expects the candidateto make a positive contribution to the development plans of the Human Factors team usingentrepreneurial thinking and excellent communication skills to liaise with other groups and departments to provide integrated solutions to the the anticipated careergrowth thecandidatewill also enjoy mentoring and developing junior staff be reliable and consistent and have an acceptance of responsibility for work carried out.
This role requires security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance.
