Senior Software Engineer

Salary: $120,000 - 150,000 per year

Requirements:

• Senior-level experience delivering production-grade software
• Strong backend engineering background, preferably in Python or a similar language
• Solid frontend development experience with TypeScript, React, or comparable frameworks
• Hands-on experience with event-driven or event-sourced architectures, including projections or read models
• Experience integrating external APIs or third-party platforms
• Proven ability to diagnose complex issues across multiple layers of a system
• Strong communication skills and comfort working independently within a small team
• Experience with AWS, containers, infrastructure as code, or cloud-based deployments is an asset
• Experience with monorepos, rigorous build systems, CI/CD, or automated testing is an asset
• Experience in logistics, freight brokerage, 3PL, supply chain, transportation, or similar operational software environments is an asset
• Familiarity with observability practices such as structured logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, and alerts is an asset

Responsibilities:

• Build and support backend services, APIs, internal tools, and customer-facing workflows
• Develop modern frontend applications using TypeScript and React
• Work with event-sourced systems, projections, background processing, and external integrations
• Connect our platform with logistics, CRM, email, cloud, and vendor systems
• Write maintainable, well-tested code in a monorepo environment
• Help improve build processes, deployment, CI/CD, and developer workflows
• Troubleshoot issues across application code, data, integrations, and cloud services
• Partner with leadership and business users to translate requirements into practical software solutions
